Cawingredients completes second factory in North Yorkshire

DBR Staff Writer Published 19 May 2015

UK-based soft drinks firm Cawingredients has completed the work at Leeming Bar factory in North Yorkshire, UK, as part of the company’s £45m expansion plan.

The new facility, spanning over 95,000ft2, is the second factory of Cawingredients, located next to the main factory, which was built in 2010.

The three-year expansion plan is expected to create more than 100 jobs and support the main production and warehouse facility. It also has parking for 150 cars.

Sutcliffe Construction has built the new factory, which will function as the product-mixing operation and warehouse. The project was completed in 10 months.

Cawingredients managing director James Sutcliffe said: "The biggest challenge in this project was the time frame. Cawingredients was keen to proceed with its expansion plans so design work that would normally take months for a project of this size and quality was done in weeks."

Established in 2010, Cawingredients supplies a range of manufacturing, bottling, packaging and product development and other advisory services to major drinks manufacturers. The company reported a turnover of £44.5m in 2013.
