Chattanooga Coca-Cola to invest $62m in expansion

Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a unit of Coca-Cola Bottling Company United (CCBCU), has announced plans to invest around $62m to build a new distribution and sales facility in Hamilton County, Ohio.


To be located in the former Olan Mills site, the proposed facility will be spread over an area of around 305,000ft². It is expected to be become operational in the next 16-18 months.

Chattanooga Coca-Cola Bottling Company division vice president Darren Hodges said that Coca-Cola Bottling began in Chattanooga 115 years ago.

"We're proud to reaffirm our commitment to this community by establishing a new distribution facility and regional offices," added Hodges.

The company will retain 270 jobs by by establishing the new facility in Hamilton County and will also add 43 new jobs at the location.

CCBCU currently has three production facilities and 19 distribution sales centers located in six Southeastern states. It produces and distributes more than 750 refreshing beverages and over 100 million cases annually.
