Coca-Cola European Partners merge to form combined entity

Coca-Cola European Partners have announced the completion of combining the businesses of Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Iberian Partners and Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke.

Based on net sales, the combination is claimed to be the world's largest independent Coca-Cola bottler.

The combined entity will serve more than 300 million consumers across Western Europe including places such as Andorra, Belgium, continental France, Germany, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden.

Coca-Cola European Partners board chairman Sol Daurella said: "With a collective heritage in Europe of over 100 years, the three businesses, united under one of the most recognizable brands in the world, are poised to become the leading bottler in the Coca-Cola system.
