Coca-Cola South Pacific expands Cascade range

DBR Staff Writer Published 09 November 2016

Coca-Cola South Pacific has expanded its Cascade range intended to offer non-alcoholic options to the adult sparkling beverage category.

The beverage giant added new flavours in Rasberry, Spiced Pear & Bitters, Mint & Ginger and Spicy Ginger Beer to its Cascade family.

It has also reformulated Ginger Beer and Tonic Water as part of its strategy to attract consumers towards sparkling beverages.

The newly unveiled Cascade flavours would mainly target 30 years and over while having a sharper taste.

Coca-Cola South Pacific Cascade brand manager Bridget Slipper said: "CASCADE's new range delivers refreshing flavours that are designed for adult taste buds.

“The launch was timed to coincide with the entertaining season and to bring adults a wider range of refined, sophisticated flavours to enjoy either straight or as an addition to their favourite spirits.”

The company said the Cascade beverages will be available in 330ml glass in selected restaurants, bars and cafes.

They will also be available in 4x300ml glass and 4x200ml can multipacks across major grocery stores, and also in 850ml PET bottles in selected bottle shops.

A marketing campaign is said to push the new Cascade range as the premium adult sparkling brand. The brand will be further pushed through a sustained digital campaign according to the soft drink giant.

For the launch of the new Cascade flavours, the company has brought celebrity chef Luke Mangan on board. The company also said that the brand awareness campaign of the new Cascade range will be supported by a partnership with Fairfax owned Good Food.
