GMCR, Unilever partner to offer Lipton hot, iced teas in Keurig single cup brewers
Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) has entered into an agreement with Unilever North America to offer Lipton hot and iced teas in K-Cup and Vue packs for its Keurig single cup brewing systems.
Lipton's teas will become part of the GMCR's Brew Over Ice collection, a line specially crafted to brew iced beverages with any Keurig brewing system.
Lipton K-Cup and Vue packs will be offered in a variety of channels in the US and Canada beginning in summer 2013.
GMCR president and CEO Brian Kelley said,"Our strategy to partner with world-class beverage brands like Lipton(R) further broadens the consumer choice in the Keurig(R) system and helps us meet a wide range of consumer taste and beverage preferences."
Designed for in home and office use, Keurig single cup brewers use a new brewing and single-cup technology to deliver hot or brewed over ice coffee, tea, cocoa, or fruit brews every time at just the touch of a button.
Lipton is a brand of Unilever that offers tea-based drinks, including leaf tea, infusions and ready-to-drink iced tea.
