DBR Staff Writer Published 15 January 2013

Jamba Juice, a California-based restaurant retailer, has come up with a new store design and remodel program to support the company’s strategic growth initiative and plans to open 60 to 80 new stores globally in 2013.

The new store format and design initiative is expected transform the store layout and design across the entire concept platform, and enable expansion of the brand in new locations where traditional stores may not be practical or appropriate.

In 2013, Jamba plans to add up to 1,000 JambaGO drive-thru locations and around 100 limited menu Smoothie Stations.

The company also plans to refresh 75 to 100 existing stores in 2013 and refresh and redesign existing stores over the next four years.

Jamba Juice chairman, president and CEO James White said, "The addition of new formats and concepts to our current roster traditional and non-traditional formats will help deliver experiences that maintain our industry leadership and differentiation."

The company offers specialty beverages such as whole fruit smoothies, fresh squeezed juices and juice blends, hot coffee and teas along with food offerings.
