Jamba Juice to open 120 stores in California
Jamba Juice Company plans to open 120 stores in select areas across Northern, Central and Southern California over the next six-to-seven years.
The company sees an opportunity to develop incremental new stores in its home state of California in more than 100 trade areas and over 25 mall locations, and intends to sign multi-store development agreements with existing and new franchisees.
Jamba Juice chairman, president and CEO James White said that the move to expand presence in the founding state mirrors the popularity of their healthy active lifestyle brand and strength of the company's business model.
"We expect California expansion will take place in the form of strategic company store growth, expansion opportunities with current franchise partners, and more opportunity for new owners to join the Jamba family."
The restaurant retailer offers whole fruit smoothies, fresh squeezed juices and juice blends, and hot coffee and teas.
As of October 2012, the company operated 788 store locations worldwide.
