KonaRed Corporation to launch two ready-to-drink cold brew coffees

Published 06 January 2016

US-based beverage company KonaRed Corporation is launching ready-to-drink cold brew coffees in two new variants - Original Signature Blend and Hawaiian Vanilla.

The new beverages from the manufacturer of antioxidant juices will be made available in 12oz glass bottles. The drinks will be ready-to-drink coffees that blend coffee beans and Hawaiian coffee fruit, to mark an innovative offering that combines the benefits of Hawaiian CoffeeBerry coffee fruit with a caffeine boost, the company claims.

Labeled as fourth generation coffee, cold brewed coffee is a new trend in the coffee industry that is created through a process in which roasted and ground coffee beans are left in cold water for more than 12 hours.

KonaRed president Kyle Redfield said: "We are committed to delivering innovative products like our new cold brew coffee to meet the high demand for great tasting healthy beverages. The popularity of cold brew coffee in the U.S. has exploded in the last year and functional coffee is something that is still relatively new to the U.S. market.

"We are satisfying a tremendous market where a whopping 44% of U.S. consumers wish they could add healthful ingredients in their coffee -and tea-based drinks. We expect traction in the coming months as we roll out our sales & marketing initiatives for this product beginning in January 2016. We expect our cold brew coffee line to be an immediate contributor to our revenues."

KonaRed's product line includes antioxidant rich extracts and powders from Hawaiian Coffee Fruit, which are used to produce the company's ready to drink Antioxidant Juice, Green Tea, Coconut Water, On-the-Go Packs and 100% Hawaiian Coffee Fruit Powders. KonaRed has also launched a range of 100% Kona Coffee products, which includes the coffee fruit.

Recently, the company launched two new products in its Kona Coffee line - 100% Kona Coffee whole bean infused with Hawaiian Coffeeberry, and Kona and Columbian whole bean blend infused with Hawaiian Coffeeberry. With the new additions to its coffee products offerings, the company intends to increase its overall revenue.

Kona coffee is grown on the dense slopes of Big Island of Hawaii, in an area 1-2 miles wide and 20-30 miles long. The climate of the region offers ambient growing conditions for coffee trees, which benefit from the fertile soil.
