PepsiCo to launch new Stubborn Soda range in US

DBR Staff Writer Published 05 June 2015

PepsiCo is planning to expand its product range with the introduction of a new range of fountain craft sodas for soft drink dispensers in the US.

The new Stubborn Soda range follows the launch of bottled versions of Caleb's Kola last year.

PepsiCo spokeswoman Gina Anderson was quoted by Reuters as saying: "Following our recent launches of Caleb's Kola and Mountain Dew Dewshine, we're continuing to explore the craft space with Stubborn Soda."

Made with natural flavors and fair trade-certified cane sugar, the new sodas will contain no high fructose corn syrup.

The company will initially launch the new sodas in some regions this summer, with plans to offer Stubborn Soda for retail sale later in the future.

PepsiCo's move to launch new sodas comes after the US recorded decline in soda consumption as consumers are prefering healthier options with less sugar and more natural ingredients.
