Pukka Herbs launches new Matcha green tea range

DBR Staff Writer Published 11 February 2016

Pukka Herbs introduces a quartet of Matcha green teas to achieve a six strong range of organic green tea.

One of Pukka's best-selling teas, Supreme Green Matcha will now be joined by brand new tea Ginseng Matcha Green, alongside Mint Matcha Green (formerly Cool Mint Green) and Clean Matcha Green (formerly Clean Green); both of which have received a healthy addition of Matcha.

The creation of a delicious new sweet green tea completes the new-look Green Revolution range. Sweet Vanilla Green is the perfect partner for satisfying sweet cravings without the guilt. This soothing green tea is full of antioxidants*, just like its Matcha-filled friends within the Green Revolution range.

So why the addition of Matcha to Pukka's popular Green Revolution range?

Sebastian Pole, Pukka Herbs' Master Herbalist commented: "Matcha is green gold. Packed full of organic goodness, Matcha has been recognised as a superfood and marrying it with tea means everyday consumption is easier than ever. Matcha has 100x the antioxidants of regular green tea and gram for gram contains about 100x more antioxidants than spinach."

Matcha is made from a special type of powdered green tea that is grown under shade for a few weeks before being harvested. The stem and veins are then removed before being powdered into the finest verdant grains that dissolve easily in water.

Made using the finest herbs Pukka's Green Revolution teas do not disappoint on taste or quality. Carefully sourced from across the world, these medicinal grade herbs (Pukka calls them 'pharmacopoeial') are also organic, which is of real importance to Sebastian, who expertly created the blend.

Sebastian said: "Properly grown organic herbs taste incredible, there's no doubt about it. But organic means more than just great taste or less chemicals (although, naturally, this is very important). We love organic thinking because it means giving back what we take out during our time here on planet earth. It's a holistic way of living and being that matches our own guiding principles of living with respect for the world around us."

The new teas will be available independent health food stores and selected supermarkets.
