Smoothie King debuts in Singapore

DBR Staff Writer Published 13 December 2012

Smoothie King Franchises has opened its first store in Singapore at The Centrepoint shopping mall, as part of its global expansion plans.

Operated by SK USA, the Singapore store is part of the company's aggressive approach to open 1,000 new domestic and international locations by 2017.

The store will be the first of several international locations to open in Singapore, Southeast Asia and China over the next three years.

Smoothie King global CEO Wan Kim said: "Our international concept provides functional, delicious, made-to-order smoothies, wraps and salads to people on the go in a fresh, contemporary way. We look forward to opening more stores like this in Asia as well as in the States."

Smoothie King offers fresh-blended smoothie and retail products, including sports beverages, energy bars, healthy snacks, vitamin supplements, herbs, minerals and other sports nutrition products.

The company currently has more than 600 units operating in 32 states, the Caymans and the Republic of Korea.
