Sprite, a beverage brand owned by drinks giant Coca-Cola, has partnered with basketball player LeBron James to develop a new limited edition flavor - Sprite 6 Mix.

The company has developed flavor formulation, packaging graphics and product name Sprite 6 Mix, in collaboration with James.

Packaged in 20oz bottles and 19.2-ounce cans, Sprite 6 Mix will be available in convenience retail and value stores across the nation for a limited period of time.

The Sprite 6 Mix is a combination of the taste of traditional Sprite with a splash of cherry and orange flavor, the company claims.

Commenting on the development, Coca-Cola North America Sprite Brands associate vice president Kimberly Paige said that LeBron James is the perfect partner to bring the company's fans new product innovation.

"We've enjoyed an amazing relationship with LeBron since he entered the NBA in 2003, and we're proud to have him contribute to Sprite in a meaningful way that we know will excite Sprite lovers and his fans," added Paige.
